Five Years Old is a Whole Hand

Rockstar is five today!

Five years ago I met you and was captivated by your energy. I have posted in the past about his birth, and today this post will be about who you are today.

Today you are five and you love to:
tell jokes
make people laugh
shake your booty
play the drums
play video games
The Beatles, Queen, and Megadeth( like your Daddy)
use your imagination
play monsters
re-telling stories
writing stories and music
play hide-n-seek
and much much more.

Today your house is decorated in number fives, music notes, bakugan, and your favorite donuts.

This morning you walked out of my room and shouted, "Yippee!" All with the excitement today brings. Then you quickly asked me if you voice was deeper. It took all I could took keep a straight face and not bust out laughing. I answered you with a yes, and told you that you had a five year old voice now.

I love you Rockstar. I love you so much. You have such a bright and youthful soul that captures all who know you. Five years ago you converted me and your daddy into parents, and for that I will eternally be thankful.

Love you A!

I'm the Mom Who

So I saw this really cute idea on a friend's blog and felt inspired to do here on this raining and cold Sunday in Texas. She got it from another one's blog( which she mentions in her blog), but I thought I would change it up to suit me a bit more. So I will start with.... " I am the Mom who.."

I am the Mom who...

*loves to watch her kids sing and dance to loud and bumping music.

*enjoys sleeping in my bed with my boys. Nothing better than sleeping face to face with SuperBabe. He won't be little forever, so why not enjoy bedtime snuggles?

*would rather have my house torn to shreds than to hear any type of whining. I just do not do whining.

*loves to start a story and take turns with my boys. Sitting back and listening to their creativity empowers me.

*LOVES to bake and cook with my boys( as well as the children I care for during the week).

*believe laughter cures all.

*can not wait for SuperBabe to be ready to potty train. He was doing awesome, on his own accord, a few months back. Now he tells me," I not big boyee, I am baybee." Okay...okay I got it you aren't ready to potty train. *sigh*

*looks forward to date nights with her man- sans kids.

*who spreads herself at times a bit too thin. I wouldn't have it any other way, because if it was not like that... I would be extremely bored:)

That is who I am.

What type of mom are you?

Another Cake for Another Pal

Rockstar and SuperBabe are friend with a sweet little boy. We met him when he was crawling, and now he is a big boy of TWO years old. His spirit is inspiring and he is a real joy to be around.

His birthday party theme was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I made his cake and enjoyed every minute of it. Love being passionate about cake decorating and then baking one for a fabulous kid is the icing on the cake( no pun intended, lol).

Here he is with is Momma.

Happy Birthday 'A'! Hope being two is a pretty cool experience for you.

Much love,
Nush

Great time at Great Wolf Lodge

Two weekends ago our family was gifted an amazing certificate to stay one night, two days at Great Wolf Lodge. Aunt Heather gave us this awesome Christmas gift which included everything we wanted to eat and entertainment. This gift also included Gigi and Pawpaw( the kids grandparents) and my boys were STOKED.

The two days we were there were a blast. The lifeguard were on point with keeping an active eye on anyone needing assistance in the water. They were extremely kind and gentle with the little kids. The hotel staff was more than welcoming and sought out if we needed anything.

We stopped at the street light and saw the sign for the hotel. The boys were super excited.

We quickly changed and headed straight to the spectacular indoor water park. It was so warm in there, it rocked.

He adored the slides, especially the green one.

About to give Daddy a high five for awesomeness.

Rockstar was on fast forward at the water park. Here is what I could get of him( 'cause after a bit I wanted to jump in and play for many hours).

He started small with the kid zone and then moved on to the huge slides.

First:

Then:

The room we booked at Great Wolf had a kid area, complete with lodge cabin looking bunk beds. There was a soft dimmed light in their room and a flat screen TV, pretty snazzy.

This picture displays SuperBabe's excitement.

Of course a hotel stay is never complete unless you verify the bouncy of the mattress.

At Great Wolf lodge they have a bedtime pajamas story-time. As you know, my boys adore story-time and with pajamas- EVEN BETTER!!

Here they are anxiously awaiting the storyteller.

Rockstar does not really trust walking costumed characters. So what happened next shocked my husband and I.

There is this really cool magical quest you can embark on during your stay. It is interactive and sparks imagination and determination. It is called MagiQuest. The wands start at $19.99 and go up, along with many accessories to make your wand even pricier cooler. Oh and do not forget the activation fee. If you plan on staying here, totally budget for this game. Seems like there is a flock of children in the hotel participating.

Waiting in line to begin his adventure.

The wand activates particular items on your quest. It can be a framed portrait on the wall, a crystal, or even a treasure chest.

Then it was bro's turn.

As you can tell by the photos, we had a BLAST!! Thanks Aunt Heather for the gift along with many many memories.

Much love,
Nush
